What We Deserve

What We Deserve is a theatrical call to action supporting the Alliance for Quality Education’s “Solution Not Suspensions” Bill. The one-act play follows the intersecting stories of parents, students, and advocates who have been affected in various ways by school suspension. It shows that no one escapes the school suspension machine undamaged and asks the audience to take a deeper look at how they are responsible for creating a more equitable world for students in New York city and state.
